Nah we do. I guess it has to do with the current shortage of everything in the healthcare system, it’s probably to avoid people calling ambulances for little things.
it might be only in quebec….i don’t think you get billed in ontario at least.
as long as I’ve been alive, 18 years, they have billed in ontario. when i was a baby i got rushed to the hospital and my mom always talks about how she got a bill for 24 dollars or something like that

You pay for transport, but it’s free to have an ambulance come.
If the person refuses transport, they don’t have to pay anything, so you never need to worry about calling for one.
I know the girl. And yes you do get billed. In ALL of Canada. She found out the hard way…the $575 hard way.
yup in alberta it’s several hundred bux, altho i can’t remember how many exactly…
